This report provides insight into macro and micro analysis of agricultural development financing in Ghana. At the macro level, the report tracks Ghana's budget allocation to the agricultural sector since 2000 to measure the extent of the Country's compliance with the Maputo Declaration on agricultural development financing in which African governments pledged to allocate at least 10 per cent of national budgetary resources to the agricultural sector. At the micro level the report attempts to determine the extent to which smallholder agricultural development has benefited from budgetary allocations to the agricultural sector since 2000.
